Summer Specialty Camp

MINI GYM & SPORTS CAMP
Children will learn basic gymnastic skills through the use of obstacle courses and basic gymnastic equipment. They will also learn some basic sports skills while participating in a variety of sports activities like soccer, T-ball and basketball. Children will play games (a variety of skills and drills will be taught depending on your child’s ability).

MINI CAMP EXPLORER
camp explorer11 Mini Camp Explorer is a fun and exciting camp that teaches children basic gymnastic skills through the use of obstacle courses and the use of basic gymnastic equipment. They will also have the opportunity to climb our rockwall. Children will participate in a variety of games and art projects throughout the week. A variety of skills and drills will be taught depending on your child’s ability.

CAMP EXPLORER
Camp Explorer is a unique and exciting camp that includes gymnastics as well as rock climbing. Children will learn the basic gymnastic skills on the uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and vault. They will also participate in different activities including games, arts & crafts and science and nature activities. A variety of skills will be taught depending on your child’s ability.

Ages: 4 – 10

GYMNASTICS & MORE CAMP
Your child will continue to work on their gymnastics skills plus add a twist of games, cheerleading and dance. Extended day children will enjoy other activities including an open workout.

GYMNASTICS CAMP
The Gymnastics Camp will teach the campers gymnastics skills on the uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and vault. The campers will also participate in gymnastics games and other gymnastics related activities in order to improve their skills. Those with prior gymnastics as well as beginners are welcome to participate in this camp. A variety of skills and drills will be taught depending on your child’s ability.

ITTY BITTY CAMP
Your little one will have fun jumping, swinging and tumbling. Our camp activities include gymnastics, creative movement, simple crafts, songs, games, stories and snack time. This camp is specially designed for the younger child as a first-time camp experience. Parent does not participate, but must remain on premises.

SUMMIT CLIMBING
Explore the exciting sport of rock climbing and tackle group challenges with the Tuckahoe Family YMCA’s Summit Camp! Campers will learn basic skills for rock climbing and participate in team building skills and games. Climbing helps with balance, strength and problem solving skills.
