The YMCA Jr. Leaders' Club provides middle school teens (ages 11 - 14) with knowledge, training, communication skills and valuable teambuilding experience through volunteering in YMCA programs and in the community. The Jr. Leaders' Club program will train teens in all aspects of physical education and service learning to better serve their community and YMCA as they encourage each other to make a positive impact for present and future generations. A leader must possess strong character, positive attitude, meet basic physical requirements, and maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout the school year. Jr. Leaders' Club holds weekly meetings and is an annual program that takes place from September through mid-June. Interested candidates may apply to the club starting in August.
The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Tuckahoe Family YMCA.
